THE MOVIE

The essence of any motion picture is in the strength of the underlying story. Set in modern day southern California, “Most Popular Corpse” is a story of love, jealousy, envy and murder.  The screenplay is written by Lorin McCraley and Edward Cieplinski (Lorin McCraley is a veteran actor of both big and small screens). Rob Walker, a veteran of film and television for over 25 years has signed on to direct. Rob Walker will also handle production duties along with Jeffrey Allard, who has produced 7 features, as well as serving as executive producer for the highly successful “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” reboots. The film will be billed as a teen slasher/thriller murder mystery and is expected to receive an “R” MPAA rating.

SYNOPSIS:

At Lost Hills High School, everyone wants to be Simone Taylor. She’s beautiful, intelligent, caring and funny. Who then, would murder her? Was it Jake, her sexy ex-boyfriend and all state quarterback for The Lost Hills High Leprechauns?   Was it Dana, her best friend and confidant whose acerbic wit propels the school paper and their social circle?  Did their brief, uncomfortable lesbian tryst drive Dana to murder? Is it Benny, her half witted childhood friend, who’s always been oddly obsessed with and overly protective of her? What about her current boyfriend Eric, the resident bad boy and new kid in town? And no one can discount her perverted, crazy Uncle Earl. All of them loved Simone. One of them emptied a shotgun into her face. Hard boiled, old schooled detective, Timothy Graf searches for the truth despite uncompromising suspects. One by one, the suspects are savagely murdered. As our hero uncovers the last piece of evidence, the killer is revealed in a bloody struggle where good prevails over evil. Or does it?
