fist offical film funded was a small film, a Horror film called Monster Mountain, a low budget feature.
From a film maker that has produced features and this was his first film as a
director with a production value of a $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 film and getting
it done for under $1,000,000.
This
film and film maker has credit. His last film is going in Blockbuster in a
few weeks and was done for about $300,000. It is already on the charts at
number 28 requested films wanted.
This
film, Monster Mountain is being made for such a low budget because the
film maker is going to direct his first and for years he has been
producing films, production, post production, doing deals, saving others
money on projects, getting others job, etc., etc., and everyone will be
doing it free or on deferred pay.
If
you walk into Blockbuster and ask the manager if he/she has any low budget
non-theatrical horror films, he will say "spread all over the
place." He would then tell you that if you make a film like what is
on the shelf as a Horror, its worth about $500,000 to a million in
sales. In addition, that sales figure is only on the one vendor, Block
Buster. Others vendors and others markets are available throughout the
world as well, all to bring more profits.
So
this film Monster Mountain Horror, has the potential in big profits
especially when it was done for under a million and the investors gets 50%
of the profits.
