Producers task outline
&
What we will need to go to the next step. The Fact
Sheet.
Making a
movie or TV show takes the efforts and assistance of a lot of people. The
interesting thing is that most are involved in one or two phases of the
process and don't know everything it took for the filmmaker to get the ball
down the field and to the goal line.
It's like being on a subway train with nearly 20 stops on its route. In
subway terms, the producer is the guy who got on at the first stop and rode
the train all the way thru each station and will get off at the last stop.

To get a movie completed, especially on a tight budget, please make sure the
producer and/or filmmaker is on board from beginning to end. There's too
much to do and somebody has to do it. As a producer or a director taking on
the film, you clearly need to be committed to the whole ride of you film or
show and won't get off the train before reaching the end.
The reason why many films, TV shows die: After the bulk of the money has
been paid out during production and post production, the movies are
abandoned by the producers. Who suffers the most? The investors.
