Robert Schwartz

Robert Schwartz offers an intensive, first-class script consulting service with veteran producer, Robert Schwartz to help writers, directors and producers greatly improve their screenplay before submitting it in Hollywood or to investors.

Along with unsurpassed creative story analysis, Robert will also assess your project’s viability in the marketplace on a financial and strategic basis. There is simply no other script coverage available anywhere that can compare on this intense and comprehensive level from a working professional producer. Seismic’s screenplay coverage has provided comprehensive script notes for numerous ICM, CAA, and WMA clients, as well as having worked with client’s projects at Walt Disney Pictures, Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, MGM, The Weinstein Company, Samuel Goldwyn Company, Avenue Pictures, Knightscove Entertainment, River Road Entertainment, Lionsgate Films, Alliance Atlantis, Sundance Film Festival, The Heartland Film Festival, and many more.

Professional Industry Screenplay Coverage vs. Countless Online Script Readers!

There's an endless supply of self-appointed script readers, or "gurus" as they are commonly termed, that you've never heard of before your Google search. They'll provide a screenwriter with their notes, online consultations, phone meetings, advice, etc. but ironically they’ve never made a commercial movie that you can rent at Blockbuster, Netflix, or iTunes, though they are somehow qualified to analyze your script! The bottom line is that if you're sending your spec screenplay into any production house, motion picture studio, talent agency, or to a name actor, or producer, 9 times out of 10 the script will be read by an underpaid, underappreciated college intern, office receptionist, or junior production assistant. This is just a fact of life as there are way too many scripts coming into these places.

These assistants are the gatekeepers to their bosses and more often than not they pass on the material. If you are lucky, they read your script and provide "script coverage." This script coverage is basically what amounts to a "book report" of your script: a basic synopsis of the story and a quick review of what they thought of the plot, characters, storyline, action, budget level, and more. They rate the project (PASS, CONSIDER, or RECOMMEND) and that becomes your fate, most likely forever with that company as it resides on their computers for years to come making it very difficult to resubmit the script.

Then in turn, that same script coverage gets read by the talent agent, producer, actor, or manager. Script coverage is a lot quicker to read than a whole script, and these folks have very little free time, or are already reading scripts sent to them with financing, actors, or other talent attached that makes them a priority over your script. Truly, there are several piles of scripts in their offices...ones that are fully financed with offers attached, scripts that have excellent coverage and may have attachments, too, and finally those scripts that have nothing yet. Which would you read first if you were an agent or manager?

If your script doesn't make it past this one underpaid, script reader and in turn given decent script coverage, it won't get to the agent, producer, director, or actor you desire.

Seismic Scripts will provide you with real, industry script coverage that will help you improve your screenplay and increase the probability that it will get past the script reader and to the person with real power. When your script comes in, Robert Schwartz will personally read it and write a script coverage report himself, not some anonymous script reader that you know nothing about or what their experience is in the business. What good is script coverage if you have no idea of the source or experience of the person writing it?

Seismic Scripts will provide you with that "litmus test" of your screenplay and show you where your script succeeds, and where it could use some attention. Mr. Schwartz will be straightforward and honest with you, as he provides you with the information you cannot get from a typical script reader who has never made a film. As an experienced producer, Mr. Schwartz will also look at your screenplay from a strategic and financial point of view, helping you understand what steps you need to consider in order to get your project moving forward and raise it to a higher level.

Receiving screenplay coverage from Seismic Scripts is the fastest and smartest way for screenwriters, directors, and producers to get essential feedback on what's working and what's not in their screenplay. After you spend all the hard work it takes to create a draft of your story, you need intelligent, detailed coverage to take your project to the next step.
